Firstly thank you for your service But I think it’s really cool they tried to accommodate you with the animal, but we couldn’t shop here if the dog was near the open product. My wife has a severe allergy to dogs. One of the reasons we drive so far is because dispensary products are supposed to be handled with food grade sanitation rules. I’m a 100% disabled veteran and have a service dog after being paired with my service dog in December. I was no longer allowed to work behind the counter selling product. Due to having a service dog and possible shedding so they put me up front only to work reception only. Where I had to request to go to the bathroom as the desk has to be manned 100% of the time. After coming back to work and being scheduled to only work weekends I worked 6 weekends in a row before I got told could not accommodate any other changes to the schedule meaning I would be working every weekend. I put in my two week I never heard from my GM to confirm she received my message. That next evening I checked my email where an email from my district manager that they would not need me to complete my two weeks which shorted me two weeks of pay as well as receiving a counseling that stated I created work place hostility for customers and employees as well as bullying for having a conversation with an employee regarding the schedule and insubordination. All of which I was never given a verbal counseling or made to sign anything stating this counseling was factual I never even got asked a question regarding this counseling so it retaliation for putting in my two weeks for lack of accommodations for my dog and no room for changes in the schedule.
