Dr. Gathers

We went to Gathers because he was one of the only doctors in our area providing medical cannabis. Twice we scheduled appointments where no one was in the office. When we finally were able to see him he basically harassed my husband about not believing that he had headaches when he had BRAIN CANCER. They had us come in without even letting us know what kind of documentation to bring and then basically were accusatory when we didn’t have it. He made us pay $300.00 in cash which I have since found out from reputable doctors who dispense is his way of making cash money off of you as opposed to taking insurance which our current doctor does. A year later, not wanting to go through the process with another doctor I tried to reach out and get my husbands card reinstated. They never got back to me which forced me to find another doctor and now we have to go through the process of re-registering him which made it more difficult since he has an expired account with Gathers. The secretary calls and acts like she’s all professional and pretends that they are reputable but don’t be fooled. Go through Northwell or somewhere else. Stay the hell away from this place and my doctor at Northwell said, anyone that asks for cash is taking advantage and don't believe their lies.
