Granddaddy Purple, also known as “Grand Daddy Purple” or “GDP” or “Grand Daddy Purps,” is a heavy indica dominant strain created through crossing the classic Big Bud X Purple Urkle strains. This flavorful bud is said to be the grandfather of all weed strains, packing timeless full-bodied effects and an infamous flavor that will leave you begging for more. The Granddaddy Purple high hits you first with a cerebral rush that leaves you feeling completely euphoric although with a slight numbing effect. I have been smoking this strain since the 90s. But in recent years I’ve noticed some changes in the strain. I think this strain may have been breed out to many times and has changed it’s original terpene profile, or the grower has destroyed it? It have the flavor of grass clippings with a bitter metallic aftertaste,weird.I purchased this grand daddy purple marijuana strain from Tru Meds out of Phoenix Arizona.

typical Indica, it's a good body buzz, that's what Indicas are good for, sativas are good for daytime activities, I had many, those that can't get G D Purple, get South Beach, another strain that's identical to the granddaddy

I had this for the first time in a Culta cart. To be clear, this was a high quality cart and product. Smooth, tastes great. I like heavy hitters, but for me, this is a little too heavy. It’s amazing to silence my mind and get some sleep, but that is literally the only time I can use it, otherwise, I’ll spend the day napping. The only drawback for me is the limited application. I can see why it has the reputation it does.

Smoked GDP pre-rolls from Dutchie's. Good daytime strain. For aches, muscle and joint relief. This batch came out more like a hybrid indica rather than a full indica but no anxiety. Did make me talkative and hungry and relaxing too.

This was one of the first strains I have ever tried, and even with the strain being so potent, and me having such a low tolerance at the time, this strain still finds a way to put you in a deep state of relaxation, one of which you have never experienced before. If you manage to find this strain, pick up as much as you can.
