Orange Sunset is an excellent strain. The smell of the flower in the package is a lovely blend of citrus and herbal. There’s even an intriguing hint of tangy pungency. The high is quite mellow after 3 good tokes, neither making me want to lie down and ponder the world, nor prompting me into a frenzy of activity. I guess that’s what a good hybrid is supposed to do. Well, Orange Sunset is an excellent example of a true hybrid. Problem for me is that I like sativas in the later afternoon, and indicas after 9 p.m., so I have not tried many specifically hybrid strains. However, this is the nicest and mellowest of the various hybrids I have tried. In my head, I am definitely stoned, but I am still able to compose this review—not something I could easily do after inhaling most of the kush-y and purple indicas I like at night. (Forgot to mention that it is 11 p.m. as I write.) Yet, sitting in my chair, I also feel that pleasant warmth throughout my body of the sort that I usually get after my regular nighttime smoke. So, this is a clever strain with multiple beneficial qualities. However, I probably won’t smoke it after midnight, as I expect that it is not particularly sleep-inducing. Overall, a definite A, deserved as much for the wonderful aroma of the flower as for the comfortably balanced high.
