The Black Marijuana Strain

The legendary and secretive backstory to the strain is that a treasured original Tha Purps clone was used for the parent plant of The Black, so it has those authentic and classic genetics. The Black is a sibling to the Black 84 strain.The dark purple color and grape and mixed berry flavor came from a purple Hawaiian landrace strain which was used to make Tha Purps. It is rumored that many grape or dark/mixed berry flavored strains most likely herald back genetically to this original Hawaiian purple plant. This Tha Purp clone was then crossed with a Black Domina to create Black 84. The Black in its common phenotypes does not ever reach higher tier potency levels, it appears to only hover around 15-22% thc. However it is the great flavor profile that makes it stand out and can be used to create great crosses. The grape and mixed berry flavor is noticeable and is accented by a backdrop of curious hashy sandlewood, like a nag champa. This is in my opinion the best pheno. Another dominant pheno has a boring pineapple flavor and smell instead, and in my opinion is undesirable. The plant has about 10 phenotypes but only one or two are desirable, all of them grow very slowly and barely double in size when flowering. However, the best phenos will reach 3ft as wide bushes and can easily yield ounces.

"The Black" lives up to the hype, the only add would be the smoke is very smooth and easy on the lungs. I got my start as seed, from BCBUD Depot, then crossed a nice female with White Widow male on my first cross next I used a White female crossed with a "The Black" male. I now have two month old plants from both cross pollinations ready to reduce light from 24/7 to 12/12.....can't wait. ps. this final cross, "The Black"+"White Widow I have named "Black Widow" ! This is probably the most spot-on, accurate review that ive seen thus far pertaining to a specific strain. Many's the time ive tried a strain based on a review only to be let down when said strain gave me anxiety or just wasnt at all what i had anticipated. However, with this review's information on The Black, I COMPLETELY agree. With just about every detail on this page i can fully relate to my own experience. From the taste and smell to the effects and suggested symptom relief (ex. PTSD, spinal cord injury, muscle spasms, etc.), this is a perfect summary of The Black. Im a veteran, i have PTSD, im a recovering heroin addict, recovering from spinal surgery, suffer from neuropathy, muscle spasms, pain, anxiety, depression... The list goes on. Luckily; you name it, The Black helps it. Paranoia and Anxiety-free highs are a MUST for me. This strain is incredibly forgiving in those regards. Makes me very content, happy, euphoric, dreamy (not SLEEPY). In fact, id say it gave me a little boost of energy. In a dreamy, mellow way. Anyways, Im in love! This is a must try for ALL cannabis users alike. Indica, Sativa, Rec, Med, whatever. This is all around a wonderful strain. 2 Thumbs up! =)

This strain has been wonderful in treating my insomnia and migraines. Be prepared for full couch lock if you use this. Not ideal for days when you need to be productive, but a perfect nighttime smoke when you need to unwind. Great for insomnia and pain relief!
