The hours are wrong here, open 7 days a week, 9 to 9 Sunday to Thursday and 9 to 10 on Friday and Saturday. Great store, very welcoming staff with excellent knowledge of Cannabis.
We have created a welcoming storefront that caters to women and seniors, along with men and anyone else aged 19+. This is CannaLand, a boutique-style cannabis storefront.

I don't know how exactly this storefront caters to women, as it felt the same as any other chain dispensary I've been to. Budtender was friendly and helpful, but still cis, hetero, white, male. This place has a large selection compared to other local competitors, but I'm honestly just not sure how they can claim to cater to women (or seniors, for that matter?). Would love to see them live up to this claim, as well as creating a welcoming space for LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC individuals. The world of weed needs this. One tiny rainbow sticker on the front door isn't enough, imo. If you want to cater to women and seniors... then HIRE women and seniors. If you want to create safe spaces for queer and BIPOC individuals... then HIRE queers and BIPOCs. If there are no qualified women, seniors, queers, or BIPOCs in your area for you to hire... then make an effort to engage these marginalized communities and provide training for them so that you can hire them. Lip service isn't enough. The weed I bought here was the same as all the other BC legal weed I've bought at any other dispensary: stale, dry as a bone, and packaged about 1.2 million years ago. Not exactly CannaLand's fault, but I'd rather buy fresh dank nugs from mail order sites instead. Especially from local cultivars.
