Durban Poison, from the reviews on here it makes me wonder if anyone on her has ever smoked any real Durban Poison. I’ve been growing the actual inbred land race of this strain for 35 years. From the pictures I’ve seen on here only one looks like pure Durban Poison. I love this strain it is a very uplifting daytime herb. It has citrusy, pine taste with an earth pepper exhale. The plants can get huge!

Durban Poison tastes like vinegar. It is hard and tart, with noticeable apple, pine and mint overtones. It is to weed what hard liquor is to alcohol. The dizziness experienced from its soaring high can help to shut down an overactive brain that causes sleep loss. The high isn't the most enjoyable experience, but the strain should be respected for being quite unique.
Great wake and bake strain, keeps you looking to get stuff done. Taste and effects are great, with a pretty smooth exhale. You can feel it hit from the from first pull. Has a nice let down, does not drag you out at the end, your just ready for another fill up and session. Highly recommend to get when available.
Amazing strain! Not a good strain for lounging around. You will want to be on the move with this one. The bud has a very warm, almost cigar and mahogany fragrance to it. A bit peppery and fruity. The high is not overly heady. 10/10 Go outside with this one!
There's a reason this strain has the most reviews on the site...don't be fooled by low thc numbers. Ipy, 17 percent Durban will surprise you. If you can find it higher, even better. Don't expect distillate to feel like the flower or the live or cured resin/rosin extracts. You can't replicate the profile by adding terps back in. Stick with flower or full spectrum. Most unique strain ever.
I liked it. The pine taste and nice long lasting buzz. Gave me some energy and at night I will take 2, 50mg indica gummies to offset the saliva flower. Over all I liked it very much.
Smoked after my bus boy work. Made me so paranoid as sativas do that me and my friend thought people were following us and went over to more friends house and got more paranoid. Stay away from unless you can handle being paranoid.
If you love a sativa, this is for you. Traditional effects expected with a sativa, but not the sativa for me. I like the pungent aroma and taste, but I do find it anxiety inducing, and I’m not prone to anxiety. I can mellow it out a little mixing with an indica heavy strain, but the anxiety doesn’t fully go away for me. If you’re anxiety prone, I’d look for Carbon Fiber if you can find it and want a great energizing day option.
I like to strain overall. In my experience with the Durban Poison I've had many different versions of it some with the expresso shot, then I've had other Durban's and they hit like a hybrid a more balance than I've had other versions of durban that hit like a indica.
At first kind of “I want a nap,” and in fact listened to music with my eyes closed for 15-20 minutes and then “BING!” My eyes flew open, and I started tidying up the house, loaded the dishwasher … I experienced it as energizing yet patient with onerous tasks. Full-on Sativa it is. Culta so the quality is there. It has, in a few experiences, probably become my favorite Sativa. This is coming from a 45-year smoker. Thanks for reading.
